———-
Early on in the process of thinking where my novel would take the reader, I had decided on a specific location. A terrifying one (to most people) and I was so engrossed in that idea that I wanted to try and visualize it just a bit more.
As such, I decided to try and portray the center room of the location. As it is a cave complex, the colour flavours were brown, slightly brown, light brown, slightly darker brown and yellow-brown. The lighting had to be strong enough so it wouldn’d make everything impossible to discern. Not sure I did a stellar job there, but I wanted to do this as much by myself as possible. This resulted in the visible skew in perspective, amongst other things, but overall I was — and still am — pretty happy with how this turned out.
