This project is one that I did enjoy doing, but it is one with the biggest sour aftertastes I’ve ever had.

Another Yokoso Dutch Open tournament was approaching and sure enough, I was asked for yet another poster. I quickly began brainstorming and I made quite a few designs (or at least variations within a certain design)

I started with a design that was deemed to “gamey” so I tried a poster focused on typography. Then came the feedback where it said that the organizers would like to have a picture of Amsterdam in the poster, as it would likely attract more fighters.

In all, I made three distinct designs, and in the end…nothing was used. They ended up going with a poster that was put together with an app in, say, <10 minutes.

Lukcily graphics design doesn’t take a lot of time and effort *sweats profusely*

‘Til next time.
