———-

Back in 2011 I briefly worked at a video game retailer. A co-worker and I, one day, brainstormed up some ideas for a Role-playing game. He dreamed up a story about a poor, mistreated soul, called Michael. He said “it would be cool if there were some visuals with this“.

I grabbed pad ‘n pen and doodled something on the spot, not really thinking about it, but he said “Yeah, something like that!

I took it as a sign and made something that same evening. It was a rushed job…

It resulted in a rough sketch that suited the sole purpose of creating an idea of what this character could look like. At the time I said to the guy “I’ll make a proper version of this guy one day. promise,” despite him already being happy with me taking the time to make this.

Never let it be said that Dennis doesn’t stick to his promises. It took roughly 2.5 years to come through on it, BUT…come through with it I did.

Below you can see the admittedly hodgepodge version on the left, and the much improved version on the right.

‘Til next time.
